Curls Blueberry Bliss hair mask and control jelly | Product Review

Curls Blueberry bliss curl control jelly:While on holiday in September with my friend Keisha, i finally got to try the Curls Blueberry Bliss curl control jelly. This brand has been on that ever growing list for ages, and i was excited to try it out. I was not disappointed!

"Got frizz? Need curl definition and hold? Formulated with certified organic blueberry extract and hydrogenated Castor oil, this hard working styling jelly is your go to product for long lasting, shiny curls!"On the bottle the product is described as being a "jelly based styler used to defrizz, define, hold and create curls in place with impeccable sheen."

I was surprised at the texture of this one at first, it really is a jelly! I have never used something like this in my hair and i know my hair has a love-hate relationship with gels, but i needn't have worried. As soon as i applied this gel to my hair the result was almost instant. My curls were shiny, defined and they lasted the whole nig…

Scalp Massage| Do i need to be doing this?

This week i recorded a brand new video for my channel, on doing a scalp massage with oil, and i realised that i talk about this all the time on here and have never actually explained. Sorry guys!

I was introduced to the idea of scalp massaging through curl gurus on instagram, and have been doing it in my routine for the past few months.

So what is it?

A scalp massage is the most relaxing thing that you can do at the end of the day. Nothing beats taking your hair down and giving your scalp some TLC, after all, this is where the hair growth starts. Its all good to take care of our hair strands, but if we don't pay attention to the scalp, it isn't going to work.

What are the benefits?

Headache Relief:Massaging your scalp at the end of the day can help relief from tension headaches, migraines, and relax the neck muscles.

Increased circulation to the scalp:This is what helps with healthy hair growth. Stimulating the growth from further than just the roots. This also will condition th…

Bouclème | Product Review

This has been one of my most requested product review posts, and so i hope that it is helpful.

Bouclème is yet another brand that have been on my super long list, for a long long time. I first seen them in posts by the lovely @letts_curl and @iam__natasha and they had amazing results.  Such shiny defined and bouncy curls i just had to try this brand out.

Who are they?Bouclème are a UK brand who's mission is:

My Hair Journey | 1 year anniversary

So it has been a whole year since i started this healthy hair journey, and what a year it has been! I have learnt so much about my hair and i am happy to share all of this information with you.

So where was i at the last time i did a hair journey blog post?

My First hair journey post i spoke about the difficulties i faced with my hair growing up and how i had learnt to embrace my hair. So what has happened since then?

It was only the start of this year that my hair started to take over my life, and in a good way. My instagram name changed from Princess Candi to Candi Curls and my posts became hair related. I started this curly hair blog and researching hair secrets to try and get the most out of my hair.

Lets look at some pictures of my hair across this journey and i will share with you what was going on at that point.

October-November 2016 - getting started.Although i made the decision to take better care of my hair before this (around September), i would say this this was the start …

My Top Products Oct 2017

If you are one of my instagram followers (and if not then click here to join in @candi_curls) Then you will have seen that this week i have been sharing with people my top products of the moment.

This is something which i am going to try and do every month now, keeping you updated with what i am styling my hair with.

Styling Creams and Lotions
The first set of products i have been using this month are ones which i have done a full product review of this week, and so i wont repeat my self too much on this one.

Cantu Shea butter Leave-in Repair Cream -  This cream is giving my hair life at the moment. I used this at the start of my hair journey and am now back on them again. I forgot how good it smells and my hair LOVES it. This leave-in cream provides the perfect amount of moisture without leaving my hair sticky or crispy.

Curlsmith Oil-in-cream -  I had this brand on my list for so long and i was not disappointed when i tried them out. A little goes a long way with this cream and bec…

Cantu Curl Activator Cream | Product Review

Hey guys, i am back this week with yet another cantu product review. Last week i talked about 4 of the goodies by this brand in octobers treasuretress box. Today i want to tell you about this one, which was not in the box.

I got this product after winning a competition on instagram by UKCurlyGirl. My prize included this Curl activator cream along with the leave-in repair cream.

"Smoothes and enhances natural curl pattern revealing frizz-free volume. Made with pure shea butter and formulated without hard ingredients, Cantu restores your real, authentic beauty. Embrace your curly, coily or wavy hair with Cantu."
"Activates curls, delivers volume & shine. Reveals frizz-free bouncy curls."
As with the other Cantu products i have been using this month, the smell of this is so yummy. So many people saying how nice i smell and what perfume i am wearing.

This curl activator is a cream one, i know that some others are a little more of a liquid texture, and so it is quite …

October TreasureTress | Cantu Shea Butter

October is here and with it, a new treasuretress box! This time i am very familiar with the brand which is included. I have used Cantu before in the past, and then went off it, before falling in love with it again thanks to UKCurlyGirl and winning her competition.

As always there were 4 full sized products in October's box.

Cantu Shea Butter Leave-in Conditioning Repair cream

Ok this product is my favourite from this brand. I was already in love with it as it was included in my prize from UKCurlyGirl's giveaway, so getting another tub was a bonus!

As leave-ins go, this one is very thick, but because it is a cream, it works perfect. You only need a small amount of this because it really does go a long way. The smell of this is amazing, the whole brand is one of my faves when it comes down to the smell. I have had so many compliments about the way i smell and i owe it to cantu! I was a little worried when i first got this one out, because i thought that the thickness o…
